The launch event for Garmin’s next-generation smartwatches is now official and will be held as a livestream. This marks a departure from Garmin’s usual practice of simply releasing a press release. After the Garmin Fenix 8 was recently spotted in a retailer’s listing and an unboxing video, Garmin has now officially announced the launch event for the new smartwatch. Garmin will live stream the launch event on a dedicated event webpage on Tuesday, August 27th, starting at 1 PM CEST. This is quite unusual for Garmin, as the outdoor specialist typically announces new products through a simple press release. Garmin Fenix 8
Apparently, Garmin is not offering any models with a built-in LTE modem. The choice between an AMOLED or MiP display does not affect the price but does impact battery life.
