Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra Leaks: Specs Have Been Revealed!

0

Recently, a snippet from a datasheet surfaced in a South Korean tech forum, revealing some differences between the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, confirming the name of the new wearable chipset, and listing prices. However, many questions remain unanswered.

Leaked Specifications and Prices

Both the Galaxy Watch7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra have had multiple specs leaked already, with some information emerging in early June. Recently, a website provided updates on color options and US prices. Now, additional information has leaked in the well-known Korean tech forum DCInside. A snippet from a datasheet listing and comparing some specs and prices of the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra has been shared, and we’ve embedded the original and its machine translation below.

Differences Between Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra

Both models apparently use the same chipset named Exynos W1000, rumored to be a 3nm chip, clocked at 1.6 GHz, supported by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Aside from the size differences of the 40mm and 44mm models of the Galaxy Watch6 successor compared to the 47mm Ultra version, which is also significantly thicker at 12.1mm, the Ultra’s larger 590 mAh battery stands out. The Ultra’s weight is 61.5 grams, almost double that of the 44mm Galaxy Watch.

Price Differences and Added Value

The price differences from South Korea support the recently leaked information from the US. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to cost nearly 900,000 Won (610 Euros), more than double the price of the Galaxy Watch7. However, what additional value do buyers get for this higher price? The datasheet doesn’t provide a clear answer, as it lacks information on the displays and the features listed seem very similar in both models. Heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood pressure measurement, blood oxygen monitoring, body temperature, as well as fitness and sleep analysis are all standard functions on Galaxy smartwatches.

Discussions and Possible Fake

From this leak, it is unclear what the significant added value of the Galaxy Watch Ultra is that justifies the much higher cost. Earlier leaks and rumors suggested a brighter display, greater water resistance, and diving watch features, with blood sugar measurement even being mentioned. However, none of this is confirmed in the current datasheet, leading to lively discussions in the forum. It is also not ruled out that this could be a fake.
